Brown Lumber has been serving the greater northern Michigan area for over 100 years as the leading supplier and retailer of lumber and building materials. Back in the early 1900’s Brown Lumber provided most of the lumber from local mills for construction. Contractors turned to Brown Lumber for quality products and expert advice then just as they do today.
Contractors get very involved and committed to the process and success of every residential and commercial construction project they undertake. These projects often involve compelling news and details. We all are interested in their projects because they become our future urban and rural neighborhoods. Construction projects involve everything from very unique challenges in renovations or land developments to the complex integration of building codes from different government agencies. We’ve decided to take a closer look at these projects, to meet with both the Contractor and the principal owner. Every project has something we can learn from; a story unto itself and that is what we’ve tried to capture in every article that follows.
